The Brief
A quiet room for whisky, records and long conversations — no television.
The Design
Every home needs one room that behaves differently. This one is entirely dark walnut, lit only from within the shelving and from two low lamps. Leather was chosen unfinished so it will mark, and the rug was bought antique so the room began with a history.
Execution
Bespoke shelving with integrated linear lighting, and a floor built up to absorb a heavy antique rug without a threshold step.
