A young family wanted a home that could host forty people on a Saturday and feel intimate for four on a Sunday, without ever looking like a hotel lobby.
The apartment arrived as a raw shell with an extraordinary asset — an uninterrupted west-facing horizon. We resisted the temptation to fill it. Instead the plan was pulled back from the glass, a book-matched marble spine was set against the inner wall, and the furniture was kept low and curved so the eye always travels outward. Brass was used sparingly, only where a hand would land.
Fourteen weeks on site. The marble spine was dry-laid in the workshop, photographed, numbered and re-laid on site so the veining reads as one continuous drawing across nine metres.

They understood the view was the client and designed everything else to serve it. Two years on, nothing feels dated.
