A client who genuinely cooks wanted professional performance without a single visible appliance or handle.
Everything that could be concealed was concealed. Appliances sit behind fluted walnut, the extraction is folded into a single sheet of patinated brass, and the island is a solid 80mm slab with a mitred waterfall on both returns. Task lighting is buried in a shadow gap so the marble is lit but the fittings never are.
The island slab was cut from a single block to keep the vein running continuously over both edges. Tolerances were held to 1mm across the mitre.

I cook every day and it still looks like the photographs. That is the achievement.
